The story of Vaughan & Company begins with Vaughan McGehee's deep-rooted connection to food and hospitality. Growing up in Mountain Brook, Alabama, Vaughan discovered her love for creating meaningful experiences through meals while studying restaurant management at the University of Alabama. Her culinary journey took her to esteemed kitchens like SpringHouse Restaurant and Standard Bistro, where she refined her skills and developed a passion for personalized service.

What started as a casual meal-prep service for friends and family quickly blossomed into a thriving business. Vaughan’s dedication to quality and convenience gained her a loyal following, supported by a growing email list of eager customers. This foundation laid the groundwork for her next big step: opening a physical storefront in Crestline Village in 2020. With this space, Vaughan realized her vision of offering gourmet to-go meals, catering services, and daily dinner options tailored to busy lifestyles, all while bringing her community closer together through food​.

Catering hundreds of events and providing gourmet meals and comforting homemade dinners, the business continues to embody Vaughan’s original mission: to create delicious, high-quality food that brings people together.
